The Wider Energy Horizons project was started to help businesses in the East of England cope with changing circumstances within the energy industry. The core aim of WEH is to add value to companies supply chains and sustain development within the region. WEH can help companies achieve these goals through combining the business links of EEEGR (The voice of energy in the East of England) and the business development expertise of Nautilus Associates.

In 2005, WEH was successfully deployed in the local area engaging with in excess of 75 companies, safeguarding 70+ jobs and increased participant turnover by £3million based on feedback received. WEH is being provided through Enterprise Great Yarmouth, under LEGI (Local Enterprise Growth Initiative) funding meaning the benefits of the program will be exclusive to companies within Great Yarmouth.

As part of the Wider Energy Horizons programme, Nautilus Associates have developed a range of online business tools. These tools cover the four cornerstones of business: strategy, finance, marketing and operations. Under each section the tools are explained simply with examples and where appropriate provide worksheets to carry out your own business analysis.

Though originally designed for WEH participants these tools are now available for general use to allow users to carry out their own business analysis aimed to compliment the support that WEH also provides.
